Here are some fun facts about me! I can't wait to get to know all of you and your families this year!!

 

Colts Derby

The Colts Derby will be held on April 21,2017 6-10 pm at the Grove at SouthCreek. You can get your tickets now at www.eventbrite.com by searching Colts Derby. There will be Spectacular Art, Baskets, & Prizes for silent and live auction. Our class will be putting together a Lego themed basket for the auction. I'm asking for help in filling the basket. Any new Lego donation large or small is appreciated. I really want to make this a great basket that will bring in a lot of money for our school. All items must be new in unopened packaging or boxes. Please bring in the Legos as soon as possible so I can start to put the basket together.

100th Day Update

We have rescheduled the 100th day dress up celebration for this Friday February 17th.

100th Day Celebration

We will be celebrating the 100th day of school on Friday, February 10th. We would love to have the students dress up like they are 100 years old.

We had so much fun holding our 2nd Grade Olympics! Thank you so much to all of the parent helpers that made things run smoothly.

2nd Grade Olympics

We will be holding our 2nd Grade Olympics this Friday September 2nd at 9:15. Please let me know if you can help out! You are welcome to just come and watch also!

Class Specific Items

The only class specific item that your student will need is a small flashlight. Please label the flashlight with first and last name or initials. Flashlights will be returned at the end of the year.

Here are some fun facts about me! I can't wait to get to know all of you and your families this year!!

MAP Math Test

We will be taking the MAP Math test tomorrow. Please remind your children to eat a healthy breakfast. The students have practice problems to work on tonight if they want to. It is optional but covers some of the topics that students might see on the test. They know that they haven't been taught everything on the worksheets or what will be on their test. They can go over the worksheets with help at home to prepare for the test tomorrow. I have let them know that if they aren't sure what to do and are seeing something they haven't seen before when taking the test that they are probably doing well on the test. I just want everyone to try their best! They have come a long way and I am very proud of them!

Book Projects

The book projects are due on Monday April 25th. Sorry for the confusion.

Items for the class store

I am planning on having our first class store before winter break. I would love some help with getting some things the kids would be interested in. They  have expressed interest in Legos, notebooks, books, pens, stuffed animals and art supplies. If you are able to donate some of these things I would really appreciate it. I want to make the store something they look forward to and to have them save their coupons for some larger items.
